Weather Keeping Team at 9,800
Here is the latest update from Wes. The team is still at 9,800. They have had some really bad weather the past four days. However, according to Wes' barometer, the pressure is going up so the storm should be moving out soon. They are hoping to move tomorrow but will have to see what the weather does. He says everyone is doing well. Half the team was in the kitchen tent waiting for their hot drinks. Wes said the waiting is pretty boring. An example of their day: wake up, have a hot drink, eat, go to the restroom, take a nap, have a hot drink, eat, etc and then go to bed. There is another team up there with them right now. It is a team of three scientists. They are doing some core drilling of the glacier. So far they found one area to be over a 1,000 feet deep. Wes said it has snowed about two feet so far. With the wind drift there are some walls as high as 3 1/2 feet. To Allie and Scott: I have passed on your messages to Wes for Dan and Baron.
