Cached Some Gear at 13,600
Here is the latest update. The team was not able to move yesterday (Thursday) due to weather. The winds were 50 to 60 mph. They hung out at camp all day. Today they were able to climb to 13,600 just beyond Windy Corner and cached some gear. They are back down at Camp III for the night. Everyone on the team feels good. No significant problems. Currently it is about 20 degrees with light speckles of snow in the air. Wes has a good view of Kahiltna Dome. He says they've been having good meals - quesadillas, burritos, chicken, rice, meat and beans, etc. The guides are really cool. Wes even ran into Heidi (his lead guide from last year). She popped her head into their kitchen tent. She was surprised to see Wes on the mountain again this year. If the weather cooperates tomorrow they will head for Medical Camp at around 14,000.
