Still at Camp II
Wes just called (7:10 p.m. his time). He said the team is still at Camp II (9,800). They had some bad weather this morning and then it became a whiteout condition so a decision was made to stay at Camp II. They got up this morning and packed everything as if they would be moving up but then the weather got worse so they unpacked everything and settled back into the tents. They basically hung out all day and ate and slept. They are getting ready for hot drinks and dinner. Wes said the food has been good. He had some sort of stew last night. Wes is not sure of the temperature but says it is really cold. Everyone is putting more and more layers of clothing on. He mentioned that he can't go without gloves for very long before his hands start to freeze. Wes said everyone on the team is sleeping and eating well. Hopefully they will be able to move to 11,000 feet tomorrow.
